Le Reve. New to Las Vegas from the infinitely talented Cirque du Soleil director Franco Dragone who brings to life a dreamy, dark and tempestuous circus-aquatic ballet production showing at Wynn's Las Vegas in the newly domed Wynn Theatre. This theatre is the perfect platform for the La Reve exhibition especially because of it’s ‘ in-the-round’ design that provides a true level of intimacy between the cirque performing troupe and the anticipating audience. So ‘up-and-close that the performers are never more than forty feet away from the audience crowd.
This performance tells the story of a pilgrim called Everyman who is taken by the dream god Morpheus on a journey to discover life within a traveling course of uplifting, funny and multi-emotional realities. Internationally renowned acrobats perform their acts in stunningly beautiful and water-soaked leotards.
More gracefully artful than comic, this is a sensually toned production which consciously invites the audience into it’s personable space to partake in a very up-close experience of the Cirque acrobatic world. Le Rêve is designed to stun its audience with seemingly 4-dimensional visual images. The stunningly graceful performers in their water-soaked leotards immerse you in the drama the story provides as well as with their aquatic props. Be mindful and careful of ‘selective’ seating. Although full participation in this visually inviting masterpiece is encouraged, some may not choose to be as ‘immersed’ into the storyline as others.
La Reve is performed at the Wynn Las Vegas, Hotel and Casino.
